Amongst the successful shortlistees is League Manager Software, a solution from Tennis Australia and Sports Engineers, whose work has been recognized in the Best Technology for Participation category.
This year, once again, seeing fierce competition with entries representing 50 sports from 30 countries doing battle. The complete shortlist sees NASCAR, Hawk-Eye, Sky and FIFA lining up to take the silverware.
David Hearne, Tennis Australia, said ‘We are very proud to be nominated in the category Best Technology for Participation. We created a flexible web-based competition management platform, which does not only assist in setting-up and managing competitions but also provides real-time insights in frequency of play, retention and growth of players. It also enables data-driven engagement and participation opportunities for the sport while reducing time –consuming tasks. Through our competition software Tennis Australia has been able to establish a connection/relationship with additional 32% of participants which wouldn’t have happened without the system.’
Jan van Eck, Sports Engineers, said: ‘As a software supplier for Tennis Australia, we are extremely proud to be nominated for the second time with one of our solutions. In collaboration with Tennis Australia we have been able to develop the League Manager solution and Match Centre, the player dashboard. With Match Centre players can easily add results via their mobile and see their personal growth on the basis of various statistics. In addition to tennis, our solutions can also be used for other sports such as football or hockey.
